A remote-controlled car took the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S3
on a ride to determine which phone has the better image stabilization.
While this probably isn’t something you’ll be doing with your phone very
often, it’s not a bad way to test them.
The goal here was to test the suspension system holding the Nokia
920′s camera, which can compensate for up to 500 movements per second,
against the Samsung Galaxy S3′s Anti-Shake. Luckily, the camera used to
take the video of the car’s journey isn’t the one being tested here, as
watching the autofocus try to keep up can be slightly dizzying. Both
phones were mounted and recording at the same time, so no difference in
the ride would skew the results.
Neither phone captured video that is particularly fun to watch,
though it is clear that the video on the Nokia Lumia 920 is less shaky
and bumpy than the Samsung Galaxy S3. That said, both phones did an far
better job than any camera without image stabilization would have done.

Unwired Planet has filed patent infringement claims against Google
and Apple. Both companies are charged with infringing on ten patents,
but is seems likely that more claims might follow.
The “intellectual property” company is claiming that Apple infringes
on ten patents relating to its mobile devices, content systems,
messaging, and maps (iPhone, iPad, iPod, iTunes, App Store, Apple Apps,

Hans Hilfiker, an engineer, designed a clock face for the Swiss
Federal Railways in 1955 that quickly became an internationally
recognized symbol for his native country. Apple, with Wednesday’s

eye-tracking technology. There’s some examples already, such as the Samsung Galaxy S III
feature called Smart Stay. This forces the screen to stay on if you’re
