Black Friday typically marks the day when retailers enjoy huge sales numbers and return to profit. Seeing that Amazon didn’t do quite well on the third quarter, there’s nothing like a good price push to sell a couple more of Kindle Fire devices and help turn things around.
In fact, Amazon UK has announced that its Black Friday promotion has helped catapult the sales of its family of Kindle Fire tablets to an all-time high.
“Customers purchased more than three times as many Kindle devices on Black Friday than on any other day in its history on Amazon.co.uk, and our previous record was impressive,” says Kindle EU Vice President Jorrit Van der Meulen.
If you’re wondering just how big of a discount you’ll get, only the 2012 Kindle Fire is up for sale, where it’s been marked down from £129 to £99. And yes, we’re talking in present because the promotion is still up until the clock strikes midnight today.
If you’re looking for more stocking stuffers, the Kindle Fire HD is available as per its regular price of £159 and £199 for the 16GB and 32GB versions, respectively.
