Google stops selling 16GB Nexus 4 in the UK and Germany — for now

The Nexus 4 shortage and its delayed shipments have forced one Google UK exec to submit his apologies to thousands of customers who have been subjected to the inconvenience, which he puts down to the “scarce and erratic” supplies of the latest Nexus handset from LG.
The problems are clearly far from being resolved, as once again, the Nexus 4 is no longer available for order from Google Play Store in the UK and Germany.

Of course, we’re talking about the 16GB Nexus 4, which is now listed as “Sold out” on the online store. The 8GB variant was sold out in less than a day after Google opened the second round of sales close to two weeks ago. Meanwhile,  customers who have successfully ordered the Nexus 4 with 16GB storage before the gate was shut have to wait 5-6 weeks — and possibly more – to get the phone.
Now, let’s hear it from UK and German peeps – have you received news from Google about the shipping date of the Nexus 4? Are you hopeful that Google will let customers order the phone once more and stick to the promised shipment?
