We’re pretty excited to see “Oz: The Great and Powerful” in cinema next month. In case you didn’t know, it is the prequel to the beloved “The Wizard of Oz”, a classic movie that was released on the big screen all the way back in 1939.
Partnering with Google, Disney is opening the gate that can lead you the fantasy land. No clicking of heels is required, as you can Find Your Way to Oz by loading up the latest Chrome Experiment on your browser.
Awaiting there is an immersive 3D environment – built with WebGL, CSS3, and other nifty new technologies – that should keep you entertained until the film is out. Well, it was entertaining for about 5 minutes for me.
You can take your own picture in the photo booth, create moving pictures using a zoetrope, compose your own music, and more. Once you complete the journey, you’ll get to watch an exclusive unreleased clip from the movie.
