Multiple reports suggest that the HTC One has been made available early in at least some AT&T stores, a week ahead of the official release date.
Finally some good news on the HTC One availability front, after multiple reports about the availability problems generated by manufacturing issues. It seems that HTC has been able to deliver its new aluminum-clad flagship ahead of schedule to AT&T stores across the US. Even better, for some reason, AT&T staff have no qualms selling the new HTC One now, even if the device is only programmed to premiere on Friday, April 19.
While we weren’t able to independently confirm the reports, their sheer number tells us that the HTC One is indeed making an early appearance. The sleek and powerful device is one of the best options if you’re on the lookout for a new device right now, and some go as far as to call it the best Android device ever. Along with AT&T, the two other major carriers that will sell the HTC One on contract in the US are T-Mobile (unsubsidized, but available in monthly installments) and Sprint. They both announced that the One would start selling mid-April.
The caveat is that the early availability of the One in AT&T stores could be a mistake that could be rectified at any time. Still, if you are close to an AT&T location (or if you’re dying to pick up the HTC One, like right now) you could give it a try.
