You might have seen reports on the net suggesting that the white model of the LG Nexus 4 has run into a few shipping problems. It's even possible that you have tracking information that says your order was intercepted in transit for return back to its origins. Don't panic just yet! According to Google, it's nothing more than a minor tracking number issue.
Here's the email that Google is preparing to send out, letting you know what's going on (if they haven't sent it already):
A small number of customers were sent a ship confirmation with an incorrect tracking number on 5/31 and 6/3. In these cases the incorrect tracking number may indicate that the package is being returned to sender. In other words, Google says that you should be receiving your phone on time, with no delay, even if your order is currently listed as “intercepted”. For those of you that ordered the white model on the day that it launched, that means that it hopefully will be arriving sometime today.
Please disregard this tracking number. Another ship confirmation with the correct tracking number will be emailed to you within 24 hrs. Please reference the tracking number in the ‘Thank You’ section of the ship confirmation.
Please rest assured that your package’s arrival date is unaffected by the incorrect tracking number.
This should come as a relief to those that had heard some of the wild theories that were making the rounds earlier, such as claims that Google had sent out the wrong color option, or that there might be something wrong with the first batch of units.
For those wondering, most of these tracking report issues seem to center around the 16GB model of the white Nexus 4, though it's possible that those who ordered the 8GB model might also be affected by this tracking number issue.
So how about it, for those whose orders were originally due to be delivered today: did the white LG Nexus 4 arrive as promised?
