The new HTC One has just been unveiled at simultaneous press events in London and New York. We’ve seen the specs, which are excellent, but not groundbreaking, and now it’s time to discuss the aspect that is likely to make or break the HTC One: it’s price and availability.
The HTC One will go on sale after March 15 2013, according to the Taiwanese company, which got over 85 carriers from around the world on board.
Previous rumors about the HTC One going on sale from three major US carriers have panned out. The One will sell at AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint at an undisclosed date. Sorry, Verizon users, you’ll just have to do with that old Droid DNA! AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint have already confirmed that they will range the new One, but so far details are scarce.
The HTC One will sell in the UK from all major carriers – O2, EE, Vodafone and Three.
In Canada, the HTC One will come to all four major carriers – Rogers, Bell, Telus, and Virgin Mobile.
In all non-LTE markets where the device will sell, the HTC will be marketed as LTE-ready.
We don’t have any information on the price of the device, but knowing the market and HTC, we can guestimate that the One will go for roughly $600.
