Back a couple of days ago, Google has launched a week long sale celebration for the first birthday of the Google Play Store. Fortunately, following intense criticism from the user community, the sales have recently been updated to cover more content at a better price.
The new Google Play Store deals cover the following sections: movie rentals and purchases, TV, books, and magazines. Here are the details:
TV shows on Play Store now allow free access to the first episodes of nearly 100 shows (such as Myth Busters, Powerpuff Girls, Happy Endings and The Americans). While not very impressing financially, this deal might appeal to those that are interested in giving Google’s Play Store a shot as a TV show platform.
A number of movie rentals are available for just 99 cents, while movie purchases for a variety of kids movies are available at $2.99.
On to the books section, Google is now offering a large number of books at $5, as well as an impressive collection of magazines at $1.
Overall, the Google Play Store Birthday Sale now has a much better chance of attracting attention. Fortunately still, it is likely that Google will bring even better sales to the week long birthday party before the fun is over.
We’ll keep you posted with new sales as Google announces them, but in the meantime, feel free to drop a comment and let us know what new sales are you hoping for Google to announce!
