Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini spotted in the wild

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has appeared online via a Twitter account of someone named Ermek Kubanychbekov. He has posted multiple photos online of the Galaxy S4 Mini in addition to comparison photos against the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4.

The SamMobile says that the device has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD with a pixel density of 256ppi in addition to a 1.6GHz dual-core processor. Moreover, the device is based on Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 running the latest version of Android, 4.2.2.

T-Mobile testing its LTE network with Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 in eight major U.S. cities, says OpenSignal data

In a few short days, T-Mobile will switch on its 4G LTE network. Thanks to OpenSignal, an app that uses crowdsourced data to pinpoint ideal wireless coverage areas, has found T-Mobile’s LTE signal running in eight major U.S. cities.
T-Mobile has already said that it plans to bring 4G LTE service to Las Vegas and Kansas City, but the list provided by OpenSignal shows New York, Seattle, Denver, New Orleans, San Diego and San Jose, including bay area cities as well.

Samsung continues to expand the low end market, while balancing high and mid-range presence

 
Samsung and Apple might be major rivals in the smartphone market, but that doesn’t mean that their strategies are identical, regardless of what some people might tell you. While Apple is largely content with the high-end market, Samsung plays a balancing act between both the high, mid and low-end ranges.
In a new report from Wall Street Journal, Samsung is said to understand the importance of the mid and high-range market, but at the same time is putting more focus into solidifying its position as a leader of the lower-end market as well. In fact, it has released several low-end devices with little fanfare this year.

Agawi launches its game streaming platform on Android, gets indie PC game devs onboard

Having successfully launched its cloud-based gaming service on the Apple iPad and Windows 8 tablets last year, Agawi is now bringing the platform to Android devices.
Dubbed as CloudPlay, the technology frees PC game developers from having to port their games to other platforms. The games will be stored and run on Agawi’s server, where they will be streamed as video to the player’s device.

Earlier today a set of leaked Google Babble screenshots has hit the web, but a trusted source tells us the images are fake.
Google Babble is reportedly a new Google messaging app that could be unveiled at Google I/O. Babble will offer users a way to combine all their messaging needs into a single unified app that could improve their messaging experience across devices.
The app could be for Android what iMessage is for iOS devices and Macs, or BBM is for BlackBerry handsets. Even Verizon has updated its Verizon Messages app extending SMS support to tablets and PCs.

LG LS720 spotted in a FCC filing, could be a mid-range Android device headed for Sprint or Virgin Mobile

Yesterday an FCC filing revealed that the LG Optimus G Pro could be joining Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 on AT&T’s network. Today, another filing appeared revealing the LG LS720.

Information on this device is scarce, but the LS720 has LTE bands that are compatible with Sprint’s network, and the User Agent suggest that we could see Android 4.1 Jelly Bean loaded on the device right out of the box.

ZTE V987 shows up in new press shot, now called Grand X Quad

Just yesterday @evleaks gave us what appeared to be a leaked press image of the Huawei Ascend G700. Today @evleaks is back at the leaking game again, this time bringing a press photo of the ZTE Grand X Quad.
While yesterday’s Huawei G700 leak was pretty scarce on the hardware details, we already knew quite a bit about the Grand X Quad. Until now, the handset was known as the ZTE V987, and we even have details about its hardware thanks to TENAA, China’s version of the FCC. It is also worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this mid-ranger in a photo either, though nothing quite as official looking as the image above.
