Samsung revealed today that the Galaxy S4 would become available in Canada starting from April 27. Pre-orders for the device can now be placed at major Canadian carriers.
The wait for the Galaxy S4 is almost over, at least if you live in North America. Over the weekend, a leaked internal document from Staples revealed the tentative release dates of the US versions of the Galaxy S4, and today Samsung announced that the new flagship would first become available in Canada on April 27.
Those who want to get their hands on the new superphone as soon as possible can now pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S4 from several Canadian carriers. Bell, Telus, Virgin, and Rogers have all published their pre-order pages for the Galaxy S4, with all four carriers selling the device under similar conditions.
Prospective customers that want to purchase the Galaxy S4 will need to sign up for a 3-year contract and shell out $199 CAD. This is the price for the 16GB version, which is available from all carriers in either black or white. However, depending on your choice of carrier, you may get a little something extra, such as 6 months of free Rdio access if you opt for Telus.
Interestingly, Telus claims that pre-ordering the Galaxy S4 (available in limited quantities) will score you early access to the phone, up to a week before general store availability.
