Android fans probably know that LG’s recently unveiled flagship Android smartphone is coming to America via AT&T and Sprint. But the two mobile operators that are going to carry it did not offer any availability details for the LG Optimus G, at least until today.
AT&T has posted a quick update on its blog to announce that the Optimus G will be available to its subscribers starting with November 2. The smartphone will cost $199.99 with new two-year contracts, and can be pre-ordered starting tomorrow.
While the carrier announced the handset in early October, it failed to provide specific launch details. As for Sprint’s Optimus G offer, we’re yet to hear more details on the matter.
The Optimus G is definitely one of the best Android smartphones you could purchase this holiday season. The handset will feature a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 8-megapixel camera, 2100mAh battery and Android Ice Cream Sandwich on board, upgradeable to Jelly Bean at some point in December.
The question is, will you buy an LG Optimus G when you know that an Optimus G-based Nexus 4 will be unveiled in the following weeks?
