Not too long ago we talked about how Flash was finally shutting down support for Android. Flash is considered the loser in a war against HTML5, and Adobe apparently stopped fighting against the inevitable. With that in mind, how well do mobile devices really support the growing HTML5 standard?
Phone Arena decided to find out by performing an iPhone 5 versus the Samsung Galaxy S3 comparison.
The video is quite lengthy, but certainly worth a watch. The comparison takes several HTML5 sites for a spin and shows us that sometimes neither device renders them quite right when compared to the PC. Ultimately though, the Samsung Galaxy S3 came out as the victor. Several of the sites saw wonky or erratic responses from Safari when attempting to render HTML5. In contrast, the Galaxy S3 had very little real trouble with HTML5. For those that are wondering, the video compares the stock Android browser, but also mentioned that Chrome on the Galaxy S3 seemed to yield similar results.
