HTC Desire L is proof that the company has all segments of the market in mind when designing devices, not only users with high demands and budgets to support those demands.
While the U.S. is getting a nationwide launch of the company’s flagship device, the HTC One, the Android device maker is launching a budget model called the HTC Desire L at home in Taiwan. The handset, which has appeared on HTC’s Taiwan site, is very similar, or, better said, almost identical, to the HTC SU the company has launched in China last year.
Specs include a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 touchscreen, at a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, a dual-core 1GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM. Internal memory is 4GB, but there’s a microSD slot if you need more, and let’s not forget the 5-megapixel shooter, capable of filming in 720p resolution. It runs Android with the Sense interface on top, but HTC doesn’t specify the exact version.
Also important to mention is that the device has Beats Audio sound, and the pictures show black, white and pink versions.
According to Focus Taiwan, the HTC Desire L will only be available through EasTone Telecom, at a price of NT$10,900 (approximately $366) without a contract, or NT$2,990 (approximately $100), with a NT$897 (approximately $30) monthly plan.
No plans of getting the Desire L to the rest of the world have been announced, but would you be interested in buying one, if it would be available in your country?
