LG Optimus L Series II promotional video

I hope you’re ready for some more promotional content, as this time it’s the turn of LG’s Optimus L Series II. We had our first look at LG’s “new” line of handsets earlier this month, and this latest promotional video goes hand in hand with LG’s MWC showing. I’m hesitant to use the word new here as the second L series isn’t much of an improvement over the first.

There’s a lot fancy looking footage and marketing buzz words, but so far we’ve not really been overly impressed by what LG is offering in the new L series range. Not to say that they’re bad phones, the old Optimus L series sold over 10 million handsets, it just seems that LG is being a bit lazy.
Just for a quick recap, the L Series II smartphones will come in a variety of sizes, a 3.2-inch L3 II, 4.0-inch L5 II and a 4.3-inch L7 II. Each increase in screen size also brings with it some hardware improvements, but there’s nothing here to capture your imagination if you’re after a top of the line smartphone. All the handsets will be available in single or dual SIM configurations, which might sway some consumers over.
The Optimus L7 II is certainly the most interesting of the bunch, featuring an improved 1Ghz Qualcomm processor, an 8MP camera, and larger battery compared with its older brother. The entire series will also be receiving a Jelly Bean 4.1.2 upgrade as well, so they’ll probably turn out to be acceptable purchases for those looking for a budget or mid-range handsets, providing the pricing is on point.
