Google I/O 2013 is in full swing! Google has already announced several new changes to Play Services, including the expansion of Google+ single sign-in features.
Back in February, Google first introduced the ability to sign in to websites through G+, and just last April they partnered with Janrai and Gigya to bring the sign on experience to even more sites. Now they are taking things a step further.
So you navigate over to a webpage on your phone or tablet's browser. You sign in to G+ and it starts downloading the official Android app. Once the download is complete, you will receive a prompt telling you it is installed. From there, you can open the app and you will find that you're already automatically logged in with your Google+ account.
During the keynote, Google used “The Fancy” website to show off how the feature worked, but from the sounds of it, it should work with G+ sign-in sites that also have an official app.
This might not be a life-changing new feature, but it's all about making your experience on the web and through apps as seamless as possible. Big cross-platform changes are heading our way – both with social websites and gaming – all of which seem to center around Google+ at the heart.
Stay tuned for more great I/O 2013 coverage, and be sure to check our live blog out to learn what's going on right now!
