If distance gets in the way of a family reunion during the holiday season, Google+ Hangouts makes it easier than ever to arrange a get- together of family and friends, thanks to the jolly new features that Google has added to the virtual hangout place.
There’s a new Hangouts link where every member of the family, even the less tech-savvy ones, can easily set up and schedule the online meet-ups, complete with a custom invitation builder that features characters from the animated series Wallace and Gromit.
When you’ve finalized the list of participants, Google will then send the e-mail invitations out along with the customized short video. To make things more festive, you can use the Holiday Effects app while video chatting, which brings comical effects like a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, Gromit’s ears, and more.
Google+ Hangouts allows you to video chat with up to 10 people at once, so make sure you don’t leave anyone out. Enjoy the holiday hangout sessions.
