Exynos 5 Octa confirmed to have LTE, lack of availability reportedly due to supply shortages

According to the SamsungExynos twitter page and contrary to previous beliefs, the Exynos 5 Octa supports LTE and all 20 bands.
In other words, the Exynos chip supports the same thing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 does. So, why isn’t the Exynos 5 Octa in all Galaxy S4 devices? SamMobile reports that Samsung wasn’t able to produce the Octa processor in time, which is why some regions are getting the Snapdragon 600.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Samsung announced that the Exynos 5 Octa only began mass production in Q2 of this year. In other words, the Korean tech giant didn’t have enough time to prepare the Octa for all of its Galaxy S4 models. As a result of this, 70% of the first 10 million Galaxy S4′s will be running a Snapdragon 600 as opposed to Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa.
Hopefully Samsung will be able to get supply issues sorted out sooner than later
