Cricket Wireless may not be the most popular network carrier in the US, but offers consumers the benefit of contract-free connections, which more and more people are looking for. Just in time for the expected launch of the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 with the carrier, Cricket has announced a new “unlimited” family plan, starting at just $40 per line.
Families that use the automatic bill pay feature, and have two or more connections, can now enjoy unlimited talk, unlimited text, and “unlimited” data, with only 1GB available at “full-speed,” for $10 less than the standard $50 single-line cost with the same benefits. Opting for the automatic bill pay feature, with which a customer’s monthly bill is automatically paid using a designated credit card, debit card, or bank account, is a must to sign up for the new family plan.
If you’re data requirements aren’t met, you can opt for the 2.5GB or 5GB “full-speed” data options, which unfortunately aren’t available with the new family plan discount, and will set you back $60 and $70 respectively. These plans also include the option for HotSpot connectivity, allowing you to use one data connection for multiple devices. All Android smartphones from Cricket also include all-you-can-download access to its Muve Music service, including unlimited downloads of songs, ringback tones, and ringtones.
