If you have had your eye on a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Verizon Wireless but were holding back because the Pebble Blue and Marble White were not the colors that you were looking for you may be in luck. Well, in luck assuming you are going to be happy with the handset in black or brown. We suspect more users would prefer the former as opposed to the latter. But at the same time, it is nice to have the option.
The details are official. At least to the point where they have been posted and are coming direct from the carrier. Still, Verizon Wireless has yet to offer a specific release date. They also have yet to offer anything specific in terms of storage and pricing. Of course, given the current blue and white Galaxy S3 is available in a 16GB and a 32GB storage capacity, it is fairly safe to assume that the black and brown models will be the same.
Here’s a video of what the black S3 looks like, from IFA Berlin.
Based on that logic, the pricing is expected to be $199.99 and $249.99 for the 16GB and 32GB model respectively. The specs aside from the storage, as we have seen, will include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 4G LTE connectivity along with a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720) HD Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a microSD card slot (with support for cards up to 64GB in size), 2100 mAh battery, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with zero shutter lag and an LED flash.
All said and done, as of now we know for sure that Verizon Wireless will soon have the Galaxy S3 available in a total of four colors — Blue, White, Black and Brown. As to how soon, Verizon Wireless has simply left that as the generic sounding “coming soon” which has been posted along with the option for you to offer up an email address to “sign up for the latest.” Of course, we suggest you keep your email to yourself and follow along here for the same details.
Four total colors aside, it does appear as if “Big Red” missed out on an opportunity for another color — red. But as we have seen in the past, the red Galaxy S3 went to AT&T.
