All the benchmarks are in, the processor confusions are (more or less) cleared up, the hype is at the highest heights ever, so everything’s all set for Samsung Galaxy S4’s grand release. And unlike the GS3, it appears the “next big thing” is ready to take over the world all at once.
We’ve known for a while America is to get the S4 by the end of the month, as are many European countries, including the UK. What we didn’t know is that the 5-incher will hit the ground running in India too before May.
Specifically, a little bird tells us the S4 will be unveiled in a press event around those parts on April 25, with store shelves to be filled two days later. That’s a good four days earlier than the first rumored ETA, which can only be filed under good news.
But the good news doesn’t stop there, as it appears the Indian S4 will also be cheaper than expected. According to IBN Live’s confidential yet trusted sources, the super-phone will have an MSRP (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) of Rs 42,000, but will actually sell for “under” Rs 40,000.

For the time being though, we don’t know how much the 32 and 64 GB versions of the S4 will cost in India. As a matter of fact, we’re not sure if the two models will be available there, but hey, at least the 16 GB flavor comes with microSD support, right?
As for other specs, we have every reason to believe India will be getting a GS4 with an octa-core Exynos 5410 CPU under its hood. Hopefully, Samsung has enough of those models to handle the initial demand, which, again, we think is going to be huge.
The rest of the features are the same as on the Snapdragon variant, including a Full HD panel, 2 gigs of RAM, a 13 MP cam, a 2,600 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean + TouchWiz. Can anyone over in India turn down such a beauty?
