Verizon Wireless isn’t known for doing things like letting their customers bill them on Google Play Store purchases. This hasn’t affected anything like sales for Verizon. However, having only the pay by credit card option is a little limiting.
Even with the new gift cards, customers always want more ways to pay. After some rumors about Verizon being okay with it, it has been confirmed the carrier has had a change of heart.
Just yesterday on Twitter, the Google Play Store announced that Verizon customers will soon be enjoying the option to bill their carrier. If you don’t know how the process works, you essentially buy an application and charge it to your carrier account. So when you go to pay the phone bill at the end of the month, you’ll also be charged for Play Store purchases.
It’s a nifty feature, and one that Verizon competitor Sprint already uses. There is no word yet on the exact roll out date. The Twitter post just said that it would be in the coming weeks. So that could be mean next week or next month. For more details, check out the Google Play Twitter post. Are there any excited Verizon customers?
