If you have a Nexus device that was launched in 2012 (N4, N7, N10), be prepared to start shouting at the top of your lungs: There’s a software update waiting for you! Android 4.2.2 is rolling out now according to several users on the popular social news site Reddit.
The update, build JDQ39, doesn’t have an official changelog yet, but people are reporting that Bluetooth audio is working a hell of a lot better than it was before. There are also some tweaks to several animations, but other than that … not much else. The update weighs in at roughly 50 MB, at least for the Nexus 10, so it’s a quick and easy download.
We know that Google is going to host their annual I/O event in May of this year. According to a leaked Qualcomm slide that instantly got pulled from the internet thanks to a pack of lawyers threatening legal action, Google is going to announce “Key Lime Pie” at said event. We think it’ll be called Android 5.0, but we’re not entirely sure about that yet. We also have no clue as to what features it’ll bring to the table.
Considering that we’re half way done with February, May can’t come soon enough.
