Here’s some ICS update news for the Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy S Advance straight from the rumor mill. We say rumor mill, but it actually came from a representative of a local Samsung branch in Bulgaria, as reported by GSMArena.
Word has it Samsung will not be providing that promised path to Ice Cream Sandwich for owners of the Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy S Advance. Now, before those veins start popping out of your forehead, it’s only because you’re getting something else much smoother. Instead of rolling out the ICS update, Samsung will reportedly take you directly to the land of Jelly Bean.
This might sound too good to be true, but that’s the reply that one customer got on Samsung Bulgaria’s Facebook page. The skeptics will probably find the news as another trick by the company to delay whatever update it’s supposed to be pushing out. But since Jelly Bean is coming for high-end phones, such as the Galaxy S3, in October, perhaps the update will spill over to mid-end devices like the Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy S Advance.
Hopefully we’ll learn more about the supposed Jelly Bean update for the two phones soon. So, would you rather have ICS first and worry about JB later? Or do you mind waiting longer to get JB straight away?
