Sandy the Frankenstorm left a trail of destruction along its path in the East Coast area. With millions left to deal with the devastating effects of the super hurricane, Verizon Wireless is doing its part in helping impacted customers.
Verizon has announced that it won’t be charging customers in parts of New York and New Jersey for their voice and text usage for a two-week period, specifically from October 29 to November 16. Customers will still be billed for usage outside the date range.
As listed on its website, here are the impacted areas:
- New York: Bronx County, Kings County, Nassau County, New York County, Putnam County, Queens County, Richmond County, Rockland County, Suffolk County, and Westchester County.
- New Jersey: Atlantic City, Bergen County, Burlington County, Camden County, Cape May County, Cumberland County, Essex County, Gloucester County, Hudson County, Hunterdon County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Morris County, Ocean County, Passaic County, Salem County, Somerset County, Sussex County, Union County, and Warren County.
