Samsung’s Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5 is the most viral tech ad of 2012

TV ads are very important for the smartphone ecosystem, with every device maker out there trying to stand out from the crowd. We have often shown you the latest Android smartphone and tablet ads released by the main players in the business, and now we can tell you that one of them became the most viral tech ad of the year.
We’re talking about this year’s Samsung’s Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5 ad, in which the Android maker is making fun of iPhone buyers, while pushing its 2012 flagship, the Galaxy S3.

While criticized for its approach towards some of Samsung potential customers, the ad has passed 70 million hits, making it the most viral tech ad of the year, Visible Measures reveals.
The company looked at various other tech ads, placing three other Samsung mobile ads in the top 10 – the ads are covering LeBron’s Galaxy Note 2 experience, the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the global Galaxy Note 2 launch.
In the top 5, Samsung and Google are dominating with 4 ads in total, while Intel and Toshiba managed to squeeze in on second spot.

Apple’s iPhone 5 ad takes sixth spot, while LG and Microsoft are also present in this top 10 on position 7 and 10, respectively. Google’s Nexus 7 ad is place on the ninth spot, marginally passing Microsoft’s Surface ad. Google’s fifth place ad is the Project Glass promo.
