Photo editing and sharing apps are a dime and dozen on Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. But Snapdseed managed to dominate the scene by topping the download chart on the latter store for months and even becoming “iPad App of the Year” in 2011.
When Google acquired Nik Software, the developer behind the popular app, it didn’t take long for speculations to arise regarding the arrival of Snapseed on the Android platform, one that’s also fueled by a photo posted by Google’s own Vic Gundotra.
If you’re intrigued by the supposed awesomeness of the app, you don’t have to rely on the words of others, especially now that Snapdseed is available for download from Google Play. As for the price, what can possibly be better than free?
