This is great, “this should ‘encourage’ your service provider.” In fact, my service provider, Dish, is what prodded Time Warner Cable to start thinking about offering subscribers TV on their phones. I’d say roughly two years ago is when Dish came out with the Dish Remote Access app and the Sling Adapter, and this was before I started working for them. The Sling Adapter stays at home, and the app works anywhere in the world as long as there’s Wi-Fi or mobile 3G network. It was this huge leap in technology that made Time Warner Cable scramble to come out with an app of their own, and sadly, the TWC TV app still only works in the user’s house.
