Galaxy Win retail firmware for China gets pushed out

New Google Drive developer features have been announced on the Google Drive blog, allowing for the service to be used in a safer way by app developers.
It seems Googles does not want Google Drive to be just a regular file storage service, and this is proven even more by the new developer features that were announced on the Drive blog. This comes after an earlier-announced feature that allows the hosting of simple websites. The first feature to be added, called app data folders, allows developers to store application data in Drive folders that only the app can access.

Samsung profits for Q1 2013 estimated at over $7.7 billion

Samsung profits are certainly not a reason to complain for the Korean company, even without sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is yet to arrive in stores.
That’s because, according to the earnings guidance the company has announced today, things are going quite well on the financial front. According to the guidance, Samsung’s operating profit in this year’s first quarter will be approximately 8.7 trillion Korean won (around $7.7 billion), a slight decrease compared to the $8.3 billion in last year’s fourth quarter, but a pretty large increase when compared to the same time last year, when Samsung had turned a profit of around $5.15 billion.

comScore: Apple still top smartphone maker, Samsung also gaining market share in U.S.

The battle for smartphone market share continues in the U.S. where, since November 2012, Apple has increased its lead by 3.9 percent.
comScore analyzed the top smartphone OEMs by looking at a sample of over 30,000 smartphone users during the period. While Apple still leads at 38.9 percent, between November 2012 and February of this year Samsung’s U.S. smartphone share also grew one percent to 21.3 percent.
