Motorola Photon Q will have a unlockable bootloader

This morning, Motorola and Sprint teamed up to announce the successor to the Motorola Photon, the Motorola Photon Q. At first, you would think: “Oh, just another Motorola device with a locked bootloader that I’m probably not going to buy.” Well, think again, as Motorola has finally given us options.

With the launch of the Motorola Photon Q, all future Motorola devices starting from the Photon Q will have an unlockable bootloader. This will, of course, void your warranty, but Motorola devices are some of the best in the industry when it comes to build design, quality, and radios.
Motorola will provide us with more details at launch, but we can expect something similar from Asus and HTC.
