It seems that Samsung has cleared the air, about future models of the Galaxy S III. The last few days have brought some rumors to the table, debating whether or not the 64GB model of the S III, will be sold.
Well, Samsung has made it official, confirming a later 64GB model for all of you “storage” junkies out there. And you won’t have to wait long either.
According to Samsung’s statement, the Galaxy S III “will be available during the second half of this year. The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release.”
In case you haven’t caught a glimpse of the Galaxy S III, here are its specs (For the U.S version):
Since the S III has the fantastic capability of SD-Card support, it seems a little “over the top” to release a device, with such a monstrous amount of storage. But, if you have your eye on the mega-storage Galaxy phone, expect a release date in the Fall, or holiday season.
- A 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
- 2GB of RAM
- Expandable SD storage up-to 64GB
- Internal storage of up-to 32GB (Soon to be 64GB)
- 8MP rear, and 1.9MP front-facing camera
- And a beautiful 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED Display
With the negative rumors put to rest, will you be pre-ordering the 64GB model? Why do you think people need such a large amount of drive capacity? I would love to hear your comments.
