It took quite a while for Comcast to actually port the “On-Demand” iPhone app to Android. And by “app”, we are referring to the XFINITY TV Player, which allows you to browse and watch thousands of titles, on the go.
What is great about this mobile version, is that essentially everything that was available on the desktop online database, is usable on phones and tablets. And with a recent update, Comcast added support for the world’s most beloved tablet, the Nexus 7.
In addition to the Nexus 7 support, the update involves just about all Jelly Bean devices to be compatible. We are looking at you Galaxy Nexus! This will be great for all those great “custom ROM’s” being released, for optimization of a variety of devices, for 4.1 Jelly Bean.
So, all you need now is a Comcast account, virtually any supported device, and your good to go. Cheers “Jelly Belly” users!
What do you think of Comcast’s decision to add more support? Does it seem like now the app is released, updates and modifications are pushed more frequently? I would love to hear your comments.
