Never mind the upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, some owners of the HTC One X are actually still waiting for ICS 4.0.4 to come to their phones. AT&T rolled out the incremental ICS update for their variant of the HTC One X earlier in the month, and now it appears the new software is being pushed out to owners of the phone in Europe.
We’ve read reports that the Android 4.0.4 update for HTC One X has made its way to European countries like Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Serbia, and Slovenia – and possibly more. Noticeably missing from the list so far is the UK, which according to The Verge will get the new firmware later in the day.
Along with the removal of the dreaded virtual menu bar, HTC has brought along Sense 4.1 to the phone. The update also brings an improved system and camera performance, better browsing experience, smoother animation, a fix for Live Wallpapers problem, and several games from EA, which apparently include a free copy of Dead Space.
Do you see the OTA update notification yet on your HTC One X? You may want to try manually checking for the update. As for those who have received the latest firmware, how’s the experience so far? Do you like the new Sense 4.1?
