Even though that it seems like Samsung is completely dominating the smartphone market right now, they encourage new customers to purchase a Samsung branded device.
According to Samsung’s Facebook page, the manufacturer is setting up a buyback program in which you will be able to trade in your old phone, in exchange for a check to purchase such devices like a Galaxy S III. The offer stands towards any eligible “Galaxy” device.
To go more in-depth, you will be redirected to an application form, which will give you a quote on what your device is worth. However I would not expect to much, because my Verizon Galaxy Nexus was priced at only $130. After the process, you will fill out details on how the company can reach you to send in your old device, and how to receive credit.
I guess this is a good alternative, if no one has any interest in buying your device.
What do you think of the “buyback” program? Do you expect Samsung to ‘shovel-out’ more credit for your device? I would love to hear your comments.
