In November, we reported that Samsung is working on a “La Fleur” edition for a variety of their devices. Today Samsung has made the La Fleur edition of a few of its devices official in Russia.
Under the hood of a La Fleur Samsung Galaxy S3 is all the same as a regular Galaxy S3, as the magic happens on the outside of the device, not the inside. As you can see from the above image, the La Fleur edition really is geared towards woman. It would be hard to picture a man wanting a La Fleur themed smartphone, but stranger things have happened.
La Fleur editions of Samsung devices couldn’t have come at a better time. Motorola and Nokia will not be the only ones touting Valentine’s Day themed devices now. No doubt Samsung will have an edge above Motorola and Nokia considering how popular the Samsung Galaxy S3 has become though.
Samsung has created La Fleur editions of the Galaxy S3, the Galaxy S3 Mini, the Galaxy Ace 2, the Galaxy S Duos and the Galaxy Ace Duos. The Galaxy S3 will have a La Fleur edition is both white and red. Pricing will remain the same as usual, because Samsung is not charging extra for La Fleur editions.
Samsung hasn’t made an announcement as to when we will be seeing La Fleur devices in other parts of the world. Starting on Feb. 1st Russia will be the only country where you can purchase one. Samsung’s going to need to release the devices in other countries soon if they want to get a piece of the Valentine’s Day sales.
In my opinion, Samsung is really setting a high bar when it comes to well designed smartphones. Will anyone be picking up the La Fleur edition of one of Samsung’s devices for their significant other this Valentine’s Day?
