The Galaxy S3 is obviously Samsung’s most successful handset of the year, and its best-selling Android device to date. But can it can get any better before the Galaxy S4 arrives?
In case you’d love for it to come with dual SIM capabilities, then the answer is yes, but don’t get too excited yet as the Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I939D that was spotted in China sporting such features doesn’t offer dual GSM SIM support.
Instead, this China-bound Galaxy S3 version supports one GSM SIM and one CDMA SIM, and should hit China Mobile/Telecom/Unicom stores at some point in the future.
The remainder of the specs and features of this SCH-I939D model are similar to the “base” model. You can expect a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and should be upgraded to Android 4.2 in the future. And, as you can see in these leaked images, it comes in black.
As for international releases, hopefully of a dual GSM SIM model, we have no details on such a product yet.
