The Nexus 4 is still pretty much impossible to find. Well, that is unless you are willing to pay a premium and pick one up from someplace like eBay or Craigslist. That scary thought of overpaying aside, lets shift back to getting one from the Google Play Store. Or more to the point, getting any of the Nexus devices from the Play Store.
While the Nexus 4 remains unavailable at this point, we have seen inventory for the tablets come and go. And while it is not all that hard to check with Google and see if one model is available, there is a newly launched website that checks the inventory for you.
The site is called ‘Play Store Availability Checker’ and it does just what the name implies — checks the store to see which, if any of the Nexus devices are in-stock. Anyway, as you can see from the above image, you choose the device you want to check from a drop down and then you get availability by country. And coming as no surprise, the 16GB Nexus 4 is not available anywhere at the moment.
Or alternatively, and this is where the site is a bit nicer as compared to checking with the Play Store, you can click the flag for the country you want to check and get a complete listing. For example, I clicked the US flag and was shown that all models of the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 are currently available. And with little surprise, the Nexus 4 along with the black bumper are out-of stock.
With that, follow the link below and you can check availability for your country.
