If you felt that the Google Chrome OS-powered Acer C7 Chromebook was a little lacking in terms of specs, then perhaps you’d like to take a look at its follow-up: the Acer C710-2605 Chromebook. This model was quietly launched recently with much better specs than the vanilla C7.
Some of the improvements included in this new model are 4GB of RAM, 500GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It retains the same 11.6-inch 1366×768 display and still runs on a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron processor. It also has a number of extra features — mostly standard stuff on laptops — like 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, HDMI-out, a VGA-port, a built-in webcam, Ethernet, and three USB ports.
As an added bonus, the C710-2605 Chromebook is bundled with 100GB of Google Drive storage that’s good for two years. It’s going to set buyers back $299 a piece, which can be viewed as either good value for money or straight-up highway robbery. You decide.
