Back in November we reported that Google had released the original Android 4.2.1 code to AOSP. Now it seems that Google has released some updated code in the form of the newly tagged android-4.2.1_r1.1 and android-4.2.1_r1.2.
The first file, r1.1, is build JOP40F and r1.2 shows itself as build JOP40G. For those that think JOP40G sounds familiar, that’s because it was previously believed that this build might show up with Android 4.2.2. Apparently that turned out to be nothing but a rumor, though.
So what’s new in these minor updated builds? Not too much from the sounds of it. According to some digging on the part of Android Police, the changelog seems to reveal that most of the changes in the updated code are “very minor and related to the Nexus 4.”
Some of the changes mentioned in the log include the following:
- Reduce the power consumption in off-mode charging
- Allow device to sleep in off-mode charging
- Do not suspend when disconnecting from charger
- Charger: suspend enable in charger mode
