It’s no secret that HTC hasn’t been doing so well of late. The Taiwanese company revealed lower sales than expected for the 4th quarter and that continues a downward trend that started last year. Despite the gloomy outlook the company continues to release great smartphones running Android and it’s looking to diversify into Windows Phone 8. It’s also a big backer of tie-in deals and promotions and the new Best Deals service looks like another example.
Due to launch in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain next month, this new service is a personalized deal aggregator that is designed to serve up great bargains to suit you. HTC has partnered with 12 deal providers including Trip Advisor, Living Social, iVoucher, Daily Deal, Offerum, Deal Ticket and Qype Deals.
Best Deals is basically an app and widget preinstalled on the HTC One X+, along with the WP8 HTC 8X and 8S smartphones. It will also pop up on the HTC One X and HTC One S very soon. There will be 1,700 deals at launch and users can enter their preferences into the app to receive relevant bargains direct to their handsets.
Everyone loves a good bargain don’t they? The ability to search with relevance to your location and interests makes this a pretty attractive proposition. You can also review and share deals.
