Samsung TecTiles app updated to v3.0; arrives with additional settings, deeper app integration and more

If you happen to be sporting one of the many Samsung devices with NFC, you may want to check out the Samsung TecTiles. Or alternatively, if you are already using them, you may want to update the app as a new version has recently landed in Google Play. The TecTiles app has been updated to version 3.0 and it brings the promise of “more programmable settings, deeper app integration and the ability to program multiple commands to a single TecTile.”

While each of these sound good by themselves, the last one seems to stand out for me. The option to program multiple commands to a single tile is a real plus — this means you can now do things such as turn on Bluetooth and launch the Navigation app with a single tap. Of course, that is just one example and it seems the limit here will be your imagination.
Otherwise, some of the other perks that come along with the Samsung TecTiles app v3.0 include;

• The option to create custom profiles such as “office,” “night” or “car” for easy toggling.
• Being able to store your TecTile tag history.
• The ability to create private TecTile tags.
• Being able to unlock previously locked TecTile tags.

Finally, Samsung TecTiles are available in packs of five for $14.99. The app, which requires the tags for use, is free to download from Google Play.
