Back in September, at the launch of its fall lineup, Motorola promised that owners of 2011 devices that won’t catch the Jelly Bean train will receive $100 credit when buying a new Moto phone.
Now, Motorola is making good on its promise, and the first is to specify the devices that are eligible for the trade-up program. These are:

As you can see, there are quite a few devices making the list, although the selection of Jelly Bean ready phones is less rich. We can’t help notice that the Droid Bionic made it to the list, though it didn’t even get ICS yet.
Note that currently, the trade up program is only available in the United States, with details concerning other markets to be unveiled at a later point.
Motorola also updated its Jelly Bean update schedule, and the very good news is that the latest generation of Razr devices will get their Jelly Bean fix by the end of the year. Devices like the Atrix HD, Photon Q, or last year’s Droid Razr will be updated to Jelly Bean at an unspecified time.

By the way, if you’ve been hoping for a pure Google-device from Motorola, you’ll have to wait at least six more months to see one. And even then, Verizon will still have a strong word to say about how Motorola’s phones look and behave.
