We’ve been pretty excited about the impending LG Optimus G of late and the potential for an LG Nexus, but while the South Korean company has been dazzling us with its flagship Android smartphone that doesn’t mean it will abandon the budget and mid-range end of the market. Enter the LG Mach on Sprint’s network.

This entry-level Android smartphone has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and will run on Sprint’s 4G LTE network. The LG Mach has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot which allows for a further 32GB. It also has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash capable of recording 1080p HD video, and a VGA front-facing camera.
It will run Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and it will feature Sprint ID for quick and easy customization. It’s pretty slim for a phone with a physical keyboard and it measures 4.64 x 2.56 x 0.48 inches (118 x 65 x 12 mm) and weighs in at a fairly heavy 5.92 oz (168g). The battery is rated at 1,700 mAh, which should see you through the day.
There’s no news on pricing or release date just yet, but it should be out before the holiday season. According to the Sprint press release, you will need a Sprint Everything Data plan and they start at $79.99 per month for unlimited data, text and calls.
Anyone tempted?
