Have you been waiting for 4G LTE to arrive in your city since the network was launched back in October? Ahead of schedule, EE has announced that its LTE service is now available in nine new towns across the UK.
As of today, those who live in Amersham, Bolton, Chelmsford, Hemel Hempstead, Southend-on-Sea, Stockport, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield, and Wolverhampton can start enjoying mobile life in the superfast lane.
According to EE, the latest expansion means that about 45% of the UK population is now covered by its 4G service, a feat that it reached in 3 months. So far, the 4G switch has been turned on in 27 UK towns and cities. The company is aiming to provide 4G coverage for 98% of the population by the end of 2014.
If you see your area listed above and consider yourself as a power user, you might be interested to hear that EE recently introduced a new 20GB data plan that costs £46 per month. What’s the catch? You’ll have to sign a 1-year contract with EE.
