Rumor: Samsung releasing a Nexus 10-like tablet, codenamed Roma, in a few weeks

Samsung has been adding has added numerous devices to its Galaxy smartphone lineup over the past few months with a slew of mid-range and entry level smartphones. Following the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, it looks the company might be releasing multiple tablets quite soon as well. Greek site Tech Blog, that leaked the specifications and an image of the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 3 8.0 yesterday, today leaked the specifications of another Nexus 10-like tablet, codenamed Roma.

The leaked specifications of the tablet include -

• 10.1-inch display with 2560×1600 resolution
• 1.7Ghz dual-core Exynos 5 processor
• Mali-T604 GPU
• 2GB RAM
• 16GB internal storage expandable via microSD up to 128GB
• 5MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera
• 9,000 mAh battery
• Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
• Dimensions – 257 x 177.7 x 8.4 mm, 583 g
• 3G/4G LTE versions

As you can see, the specifications are very similar to the Nexus 10, with the only difference being the dimensions (263.9 x 177.6 x 8.9 mm, 603 g for the Nexus 10), with the “Roma” being thinner and lighter. There are obvious differences between the rumored Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 as well, with the Roma featuring a higher display resolution, better rear and front cameras, and an overclocked processor. Another upgraded feature is the ability to support a 128GB microSD card.
We’ve been seeing a lot of rumors as far as Samsung’s upcoming tablets are concerned, and as usual, keep the salt handy, as none of the leaked specifications, for any of the devices, have been confirmed as yet. All we know at this point is with rumors of a couple of devices in as many days, we can expect a Samsung tablet very soon.
