Long before Pantech started teasing Android enthusiasts with high-end offerings like the Vega Racer 2, Vega S5, and the AT&T-bound Magnus (HD IPS display and Snapdragon S4 processor), the company has been riding on the mid-range highway with the Burst and Element.
The Pantech Burst was released earlier in the year on AT&T for just $49, which isn’t bad considering it packs a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon processor, and LTE. If you’ve been hoping to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on the phone, an update is apparently coming really soon.
Other details of the upgrade haven’t been shared by Pantech. We’re likely to hear more in the coming days, so keep an eye out for our next report.
Excited about the arrival of ICS on Pantech Burst?
