Most U.S. carriers are busy prepping the release of what’s set to become one of the country’s hottest smartphones this year, the iPhone 5. T-Mobile, however, is left without an Apple phone to sell, which brings us to its “Magenta Deal Days” Zero Down promotion – where you can select any 4G phone from its lineup for free, Samsung Galaxy S3 included.
Obviously, T-Mobile is hoping to win some customers by selling the phones at $0, but there are quite a lot of buts here.
In order to make use of the zero pricing deal, you’ll have to cover the down payment for the device of your choosing in T-Mobile stores. This ranges from $49.99 to $149.99. You’ll get your money back with the mail-in rebate card. And on top of signing up for the carrier’s Value Plan and Unlimited Nationwide 4G data plan, you’ll also have to make a $20 EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) monthly payment for the next 20 months.
