As one of the countries where the Nexus 4 is manufactured, you’d think that the shops in Brazil will be littered with the phone. Well, that hasn’t exactly been the case.
Things are changing, though, as the flagship Nexus handset has been officially released in the country yesterday at an event that was attended by Google’s own Hugo Barra, who introduced the phone as the best that the company has created.
Following its launch, the Nexus 4 is now up for grabs from various brick-and-mortar stores and online for R$1,700 or around $845. Pretty steep, eh? At least it’s a little bit cheaper than the LG Optimus G (R$1,999).
For now, the phone is only available unlocked, but it might be offered with a contract in the future. If you’re interested, you can pay the Fast Stop branches in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro a visit, while Ponto Frio will only have stock of the quad-core phone in São Paulo. You can also purchase the N4 online via Americanas.
