Aston Martin is set to release a luxury Android phone called Aspire

Luxury car manufacturers releasing Android devices is something we’ve dealt with before. They specialize in creating the greatest cars on Earth with designs and specifications meant to awe and impress. Aston Martin is the latest car manufacturer showing interest in creating its own Android devices and has already announced the Aston Martin Aspire.

Aston Martin is actually no stranger to Android, as it has released a device that looked similar to the Samsung Nexus S. That time, it was a collaborative effort with Mobiado. This time around it’s doing it all on its own.
The Aston Martin Aspire does have some things going for it. It’s a gorgeous phone and it’s made from high quality materials. Plus, you have the knowledge that your Android phone was made by one of the premier car makers in the world.

What specs does the Aston Martin Aspire have?

While the design is lovely and the materials are upper class, the specs could be better. They could be a lot better. It sports a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 800MHz single core processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front facing camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of storage, a MicroSD card slot, and the usual array of 3G and WiFi compatibility. If you can ignore the fact that it’s made out of high class materials, this phone would’ve been cutting edge in 2008. It also comes in five colors: rose, silver, gold, black, and white.
With specs like that, I bet you’re wondering how much this device would cost. Depending which color, you could spend anywhere from $1,290 to $1,590 for one of these gadgets. Even though the specs will impress literally nobody, there are some people out there who buy phones for the premium materials. The Galaxy Note 2 may have a giant HD screen, but it is also made out of plastic. The gold version of Aston Martin’s phone is actually made out of gold.
