In addition to the new Kindle reader family that includes three devices priced form $69 to $179 and the new, improved, but cheaper 7-inch Kindle Fire, Amazon announced today during its California-based media event a brand new Kindle Fire HD tablet that’s supposed to be better than its predecessor in terms of specs and features, but also bigger, or at least one version. That’s right, the new Kindle Fire HD will be available in two flavors, a 7-inch and an 8.9-inch model.
That means Amazon will have at least three different Kindle Fire tablets out in stores this holiday season, but it’ll certainly be interesting to see the Kindle Fire HD models go against similarly sized Android tablets, but most importantly, against the iPad, who’s still king of the hill in the tablet maker, both when it comes to market share and profits.
Specs and features

Pricing and Release date
Anxious to buy a bigger Kindle Fire HD? You’ll have to know that the Amazon will offer both Kindle Fire HD tablets for pre-order today for $199 (7-inch) and $299 (8.9-inch), which are quite affordable prices. The devices are set to ship on September 14 (7-inch) and November (8.9-inch) in the U.S., but it’s not clear when international customers will be able to get their hans on these babies.Amazon appears to be quite confident in its new Android-based products, although the company has not really mentioned Android or Google on stage. Like I said before, it will be interesting to see how the new Kindle Fire tablets will do against the iPad, the Nexus 7 and the upcoming iPad Mini this holiday season.
