Your LG senses have been tingling for months for the Optimus Vu, which we all know has been rebranded as the Intuition by Verizon. Following yesterday’s leaked screenshot that revealed September 6 as the official coming out date for the oversized phone, Verizon and LG finally announced the arrival of the phablet alternative.
As expected, the LG Intuition will go on sale on September 6, but this one’s strictly for online purchases. The device will hit brick-and-mortar stores starting from September 10. If you don’t mind parting ways with $200 and sign a two-year contract with Verizon, the 5-inch device can be yours.
It’s hard not to compare the LG Intuition with the device that started the craze, the Samsung Galaxy Note. Apart from the slightly smaller display size (of 1024 x 768 resolution) found on the former, which is still huge by smartphone’s standard, LG’s first phablet offering also comes with a rather unique 4:3 aspect ratio to set it apart from the competition.
Other specs of the LG Intuition include a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 chip, 1GB RAM, 32MB onboard storage, 8MP rear camera, and Ice Cream Sandwich.
Will you settle for the LG Intuition or wait for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
